A New Blog

On reflection today about this Blog, I realised that, because of the following…

  • It’s a bit “out of the way” from my main personal site
  • This WordPress theme is laughably out of date (by over 15 years!)

…it’s time for a new home.

And what better home that my main personal site? Well, hopefully you can’t think of a better home, because that is where the new blog location is!

See you at patscullion.co.uk/blog :-D

Sir Spamalot

Every time I go to update a blog post (that’s right, Facebook crew, I write these posts here and Facebook just imports them), I like to see what shit is in my “for approval” comments list.

Here are some from today, with my thoughts attached:

Post:
An Ode To Euromillions (basically, a lame poem :) )
Comment:
I’m out of lgueae here. Too much brain power on display!
Thoughts:
Thanks, but what the hell is a lgueae?

Post:
Moving Sh*t (a ramble about moving stuff down here)
Comment:
I am forever idnetbed to you for this information.
Thoughts:
So, you’re… you’re some kind of ID Software Network DLL file to me? Actually, you probably are

Post:
All Employee Meetings (basically, some doodles)
Comment:
You have the monopoly on useful information?aren’t monopolies illeagl? ;)
Thoughts:

Comment:

Thoughts:

Post:
Milestones and Moaning (basically, “Oh look, there’re this many days to go, oh and broadband is annoying”)
Comment:
Short, sweet, to the point, FREE-exactly as inrfomation should be!
Thoughts:
Actually, I’d love to be able to charge people for reading information-free rants like I occasionally do. Thanks for the idea, “Denisha”!

Post:
Why I’m Quitting Work… (A long, rambling blog post)
Comment:
Short, sweet, to the point, FREE-exactly as information shluod be!
Thoughts:
You know, if it weren’t for the mis-spelling in a different word, and the fact that you’re called “Doughboy” this time, I’d think you were the same bot as a moment ago.

And this is my favourite:

Post:
Snowboarding! (A blog post from 2007 about learning to snowboard, going on a bungee ball and seeing Kevin Bloody Wilson)
Comment:
An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
Thoughts:
No offence, “New Jersey refinancing”, but I think your boss needs to fire you both. But don’t worry, after that I’ll hire you, so long as you become as expertise as me.

Right, I’m off to do some drawing.

I like the way yuo just read this whole post, makes me rethink things! lol!

Stop! Hammer Time!

Where “Hammer” = “No Blogging or Radio Shows”.

Yes, as one would clearly predict from the title of this blog, I’m writing on behalf of one Mr P. Scullion to let you know that there’s gonna be a bit of a drought blog-and-online-radio-show-wise from him for a few months.

“He still does blogging?”, you might ask, and you’d be right to cos he’s rubbish at keeping his blogs up to date (Oi! – Pat). However, the difference now is that he’s not going to be spending time half-writing them, or starting to write them and getting distracted, plus he’s not going to be spending many hours of a weekend preparing for and doing online radio shows.

Instead of that he’s going to be concentrating on a project he’s working on that involves both himself and myself, which he feels is of muchos grandos importance-os.

Can’t say more than that at the moment, but if you speak to Pat directly I’m sure he’ll explain more…

Righty, that’s that for now then. Have a lovely rest-of-winter, Easter and spring and both Pat and I will catch you again in a few months!

Potential Site Redesign

Howdy “Dodgy Sketches Of New Site Designs” Fans!

I’ve been spending a bit of time sketching out site designs for Squage.com and have finally come up with something that might just be good. Alas, its current form is that of a doodle. However, seeing as I’ve been have verbal diarrhea on this blog of late, I figured another fairly pointless post wouldn’t hurt.

So here’s the sketch:

Squage.com Site Redesign Sketch!

It’s set below a sunny, grassy scene by the sea, with the content sort-of “underground” below it.

The little Squages at the top will be forming a kind of scene, with each one doing something that represents the section of the site they represent (e.g. there’ll be a Squage DJing some tunes to represent the “Sounds” section of the site).

The big Squage on the right will represent the section of the site you’re in at the moment (“Pictures” in the example above), and sits above the side bar (an “in the foreground” underground bit), with the section’s subsections listed.

It’ll be all in colour… I’m trying to go for a cartoony, fun feel to the site. It largely depends on how good I can get with CSS, I guess. Oh and whether I go mad with frustration at Paint Shop Pro 8 crashing every 5 minutes before I get it finished.

So, here goes…

New Header Stylee

The old one was doing my nut in. I’ve also changed the root of squage.com. Look, I was bored this evening, ok?

It’s not a permanent look… there’s a rebrand happening at some point or other, now that I’ve got “CSS the Missing Manual” and “The Principles of Beautiful Web Design” in my possession…

Toodles,

Pat

P.S. Facebookers, you might want to look at where this post came from in order to it to make any sense :-)
