Where “Hammer” = “No Blogging or Radio Shows”.
Yes, as one would clearly predict from the title of this blog, I’m writing on behalf of one Mr P. Scullion to let you know that there’s gonna be a bit of a drought blog-and-online-radio-show-wise from him for a few months.
“He still does blogging?”, you might ask, and you’d be right to cos he’s rubbish at keeping his blogs up to date (Oi! – Pat). However, the difference now is that he’s not going to be spending time half-writing them, or starting to write them and getting distracted, plus he’s not going to be spending many hours of a weekend preparing for and doing online radio shows.
Instead of that he’s going to be concentrating on a project he’s working on that involves both himself and myself, which he feels is of muchos grandos importance-os.
Can’t say more than that at the moment, but if you speak to Pat directly I’m sure he’ll explain more…
Righty, that’s that for now then. Have a lovely rest-of-winter, Easter and spring and both Pat and I will catch you again in a few months!
Toodles,
Squage (and Pat)
Howdy “Dodgy Sketches Of New Site Designs” Fans!
I’ve been spending a bit of time sketching out site designs for Squage.com and have finally come up with something that might just be good. Alas, its current form is that of a doodle. However, seeing as I’ve been have verbal diarrhea on this blog of late, I figured another fairly pointless post wouldn’t hurt.
So here’s the sketch:

It’s set below a sunny, grassy scene by the sea, with the content sort-of “underground” below it.
The little Squages at the top will be forming a kind of scene, with each one doing something that represents the section of the site they represent (e.g. there’ll be a Squage DJing some tunes to represent the “Sounds” section of the site).
The big Squage on the right will represent the section of the site you’re in at the moment (”Pictures” in the example above), and sits above the side bar (an “in the foreground” underground bit), with the section’s subsections listed.
It’ll be all in colour… I’m trying to go for a cartoony, fun feel to the site. It largely depends on how good I can get with CSS, I guess. Oh and whether I go mad with frustration at Paint Shop Pro 8 crashing every 5 minutes before I get it finished.
So, here goes…
Pat
The old one was doing my nut in. I’ve also changed the root of squage.com. Look, I was bored this evening, ok?
It’s not a permanent look… there’s a rebrand happening at some point or other, now that I’ve got “CSS the Missing Manual” and “The Principles of Beautiful Web Design” in my possession…
Toodles,
Pat
P.S. Facebookers, you might want to look at where this post came from in order to it to make any sense :-)
